It seems, reading all the latest material on homes and mortgages, credit crunches (put money on it that that the credit crunch is a type of cereal before the end of the year!) that there are gonna be a load of bargains on the market in both the buying and the rental sector!
So all I need now is about 300 grand and I’ll be sorted… fancy lending it to me?
On show related stuff we are booked in to do the shoot with Alex Ward after I had to cancel last week through no fault of my won (it was my fault). The guy is fantastic and even stone hearted me who thinks he can work out most magic tricks was impressed I got the clap off a little boy clapped like a little boy.
We are also hopefully gonna be doing a show with a burlesque dancer her name is Chrys Columbine …. James is very keen on this shoot. I’m not sure why but he’s insisting on close up lens and super slow mo cameras.

But there are bargains to be had!!! (yes there is a one bed flat in lovely Maida vale for sale that is currently home to a well known TV personality..none other than Mr OJ Borg. My beloved tenant.
You see I dont get it , Gordon Brown is out meeting various bank bosses today to discuss the state of the Global economic crisis (or credit crunch as every hack and newspaper is now calling it..original aren’t they?). He and they are trying to figure out the next steps we should take. This and other headlines such ‘falling property prices’ or ‘property crash’ etc etc have all been making front page news over the past few months..My wonder is..are all the newspapers and journos in collusion? are they trying to force the market to drop so that all their underpaid staff can buy somewhere to live as apposed to them getting a pay rise..believe it or not most people who work in media get paid peanuts..
I mean fundamentaly there have been no great job losses, sure the cost of living is going up, but thats called inflation .. the problem is most peoples salaries have not been going up with inflation..take a cameraman. 10 to 15 years ago a camera operator would get paid say £300 a day..Nowdays they get paid anything from £200 to £300 day..but yet property prices have gone up because banks have kept on lending us more and more money..why? supply and demand..not enough properties pushes prices up..simple..but now prices are meant to drop because? I mean the UK’s population is growing daily..I wont go into this just yet
My point is this a few months back everything was going along sweetly then boom the US sub prime market (something 99% of us had never heard of) hit the headlines!! and banks exposures etc all came to light causing fear in the financial markets and in us ordinary folk.. but if none of this had been highlighted or been bigged up so much my question is would it have actually affected many of us?, would any of us have been any the wiser? for me its made no difference to my life as such, apart that I now read and hear about it every where I go and as a result I’ve had to drop the price of my flat by £30k. All because the news has made such a song and dance out of it..
Its amazing how so many of us are governed by so few. I mean if all the papers had said the property market was fine it probably still would be.. If the papers didnt fill every inch with the latest knife crime attack..most of us wouldnt be walking around in fear and might actually stand up to the little kids shouting abuse on the street.
Oh and while I’m on my rant we vilify bankers and their ilk for their supposed greed. But I think most journalists and their papers should go in the same bracket ..they exploit stories to sell papers to the detriment of much worthier headlines..
Anyhow rant over and if anyone wants I have a a lovely 1 bedroom flat in Maida Vale w9 for sale..at a bargain price..
Its not many times that I, as a narcissistic TV presenter who loves only himself and the smell of a good quality mahogany, can say that I have done some good.
But, yes, through the medium of the Eleventh commandment, it has only taken 2008 years but religion has finally done some good - way to go big G!

Now when we contacted Mr Testicles to do the show we did for obvious good reasons thinking we would raise a bit of awareness (plus I have to admit I thoght it’d be slightly amusing interviewing a massive pair of balls on the South Bank) but I never realized that we would actually directly help someone. It was top meeting the guys from Titan comics, especially Steve White as I used to be a big comic book fan (2000AD, Toxic, and others) and it wasn’t until I walked in there that I realized how much I used to, and still do love them comics. They are perfect toilet material for real reasons. Great little stories that normally fit the length of your visit And each one is a mini artistic masterpiece - It really is. and I know this cause I have a stack of them in my toilet now, As James keeps moaning at me (and he did get a load himself) then if You’d like one, untouched of course, then email me and one of them could be yours.
Task for today - keep your pants on the outside of your trousers. Go on - you are a super hero.
All the other comics the lovely people at Titan Comics gave us!! The Batman ones, the Manga ones and the other ones that you asked for when we were leaving…talk about freeloading!! We have got a couple of limited edition signed copies of a Tank Girl Graphic novel to give away but we should have had some others too..but OJ’s nabbed them! Part of my job on the Eleventh commandment is too bake lovely cakes, I also have to trawl the internet looking for things that fascinate, intrigue or indeed disgust me, so we can continue our year long mission seeking out new and un-interviewed internet life forms. To boldly go where no internet TV show has gone before. Or something like that.
And my trawling has come across something of such beauty that I wanted to cry. Although the fact that I was creased up with both laughter and funny feeling that I can’t quite put my finger on I had to make do with guffawing my tea all over my computer screen.

So in the style of an oscar acceptance speech (although a TV quick award would be enough for me) I would like to thank James for all his hard work and fashion advice, God for his fantastic cameos although we may have to let him go as his diva demands are getting out of control (who the hell does s/he think s/he is?) and we have some other up and coming deities who would love the exposure and also my hairdresser for giving me such a ridiculous haircut that even german people have laughed at me.

Well this is a technical post not a highbrow philosophowhatical (is that how you spell it?)one that OJ is akin to writing on his own blog..Yes as well as writing on here he does also write on his blog..why because he’s special and has two blogs…the show one and his own (which isn’t bad by the way)..
Anyhow that’s not what this post was about..its about Editing in Final Cut Pro in HDV..it’s a massively slow process..any effects and well you’ve got time to go Cornwall have a quick surf and still get back in time to watch the last ten minutes of rendering..
Why are we editing in HDV (it is only an online show after all) because Itunes and various other outlets are screaming for HD content.. We’ve done three shows so far in HD , its taken literally three times as long to edit each..and the total views and downloads for our HD shows has been…wait for it…18 people..Great, super, er no..so looking at ditching the HD version due to the time involved..
So why am I writing here..in case anyone who may stumble upon this little blog might know a really good way to edit in HD in Final Cut Pro, quickly!!..we’ve got some pretty fast machines all specked out ..so not sure if its a hardware issue why they are so slow..
I know this may sound like a lazy man’s way to get technical help..and there are quite a few articles on the net on the subject ..but most are confusing go off on loads of tangents etc etc..
So anyone with some quick fire advice please do drop us a comment or line..
Anyhow back to editing the next show which is on Landboarding, yup OJ got to fly some power kites (like the Ozone Frenzy) in Richmond Park …don’t expect big air and gnarly tricks though..the wind was light and OJ is Big..but he did face plant it!
